TEHRAN The Jamiat (Society) of Iran-e Farda cancelled its gathering, which was to be held on Sunday.
The association said in a statement that since the Interior Ministry has not issued permit it will cancel the gathering in a sign of respect to law.
The gathering was to be held in protest to the performance of President Mohammad Khatami's administration in the field of economy.
